The highlight of our focus is on “Believing as a Divine Work and Believing as a Transformative Process.” Believing in Jesus and the work of transformation is a divine work of God that takes place in the heart. This is a profound concept rooted in biblical teachings. Here’s a breakdown of how this works:

God’s Initiative: This means that the ability to believe is initiated by God’s grace. (Eph.2:8-9)

The Role of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit works in the hearts of individuals, opening their eyes to the truth of the Gospel and enabling them to believe. (Jn.16:33)

Faith as a Response: When people hear the message of Christ, they are invited to respond in faith, which is both a divine work and a personal act. (Rom.10:17)

Transformation and Growth: Once faith is present, it leads to transformation and growth in the believer’s life. 2 Peter 1:3-10 explains that God’s divine power gives believers everything they need for life and godliness, and through faith, they can grow in virtues like knowledge, self-control, and love.

Ep.1/

the work of faith

In essence, believing is a divine work because it is initiated by God, enabled by the Holy Spirit, and involves a human response that leads to spiritual growth and assurance. This beautiful synergy between divine action and human response highlights the depth and mystery of faith.

5 step neurocycle system

  1. Gather: This step involves becoming aware of your thoughts (taking thoughts captive) and feelings. Pay attention to your physical and emotional warning signals. For example, you might notice tension in your shoulders or feelings of anxiety. The goal is to gather awareness without judgment.

Main Scripture: We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5-AMP).

  2. Reflect: In this step, you ask yourself questions to understand why you are feeling a certain way. Reflect on the root causes of your emotions and thoughts. This helps in identifying patterns and triggers that contribute to your mental state.

Main Scripture: “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. (Psalm 46:10-AMP)

  3. Write: Writing down your thoughts and reflections helps to organize and clarify them. This step involves journaling your insights from the reflection step. It can be a powerful way to externalize your thoughts and see them from a different perspective.

Main Scripture: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” (Habakkuk 2:2, NIV)

  4. Recheck: Review what you have written and re-evaluate your thoughts and feelings. This step is about analyzing and challenging your thoughts. Ask yourself if your thoughts are rational or if there are alternative ways to view the situation.

    Main Scripture: Psalm 139:23-24:

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

  5. Active Reach: This final step involves taking action based on your new understanding. It could be a small, practical step to change your behavior or mindset. For example, if you identified a negative thought pattern, you might replace it with a positive affirmation or a constructive action.

Main Scripture: Deuteronomy 30:19: “I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore, you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.
